Easter Egg Hunt
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is hosted by Fairfax Parks & Recreation (contact Maria Baird at 415/456-5652) for children 8 years old and under with music and face painting activities, all in Bolinas Park. The event is scheduled on the Saturday before Easter, from 10 am-noon.

Fairfax Brewfest … Postponed to March 2023
Held annually, the Fairfax BrewFest kicks off the tasting season. The BrewFest hosts 20 or more micro breweries providing tastes of their best offerings. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and held at The Pavilion, it is usually the brewmasters themselves who pour and are happy to chat about their brews. There is a tasting competition where you can taste and then vote on your favorite beers in several categories, followed by medals being awarded. Music is provided by a live band on stage.

Fairfax Festival & EcoFest … June 11th and June 12th
The annual Fairfax Festival, is a 40 year tradition of residents celebrating the town we love. The festival embodies values we cherish: community, family, social responsibility, sustainability and, of course, a great party. We take special pride in being 100% local volunteer run.
The Festival is held the second weekend in June every year, starting with a pre-festival screening on Friday evening, continuing all day Saturday & Sunday. Parade at 10 AM on Saturday morning.
Great local music on multiple stages, crafts and flea market treasures, fresh wholesome food, organic wine tasting, dedicated children’s area, social and environmental ideas at the EcoFest.

Fairfax Car Show … Date to be determined
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ross Valley, the Annual Fairfax Car Show attracts classic car enthusiasts from around the region, providing them an opportunity to display a really wide range of classic cars covering most epochs of 20th century car design. Proceeds from the show benefit Fairfax and San Anselmo youth groups.

Town Picnic
Sponsored by the Fairfax Volunteers, the annual Town Picnic is a chance to enjoy food & drink, music, games, activities for kids like a bounce house, and much more The picnic takes place at the Contratti Park Ball Field. There are watermelon eating contests, sack races, an egg race, and a tug of war. A raffle with wonderful prizes donated by local merchants is featured. It’s a kid-friendly, family oriented event in fun Fairfax.

Biketoberfest
Held in Fairfax—the birthplace of mountain biking—Biketoberfest is not only Marin County’s premier bicycle event but is also a fundraiser for and presented by the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) and Access4Bikes (A4B).
Streets For People … Sunday, October TBA
Streets for People inspires people of all ages to gather and participate in their community in a new way, encouraging the creation of vibrant places within public spaces. Held on the last Sunday of August, Bolinas Avenue from Broadway to Elsie Lane is closed to traffic. Car free, the street becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare for townspeople and visitors to gather and enjoy environmentally-friendly outdoor activities, reconnect and socialize with friends, check out live local music, and shop and dine in the local shops and restaurants.

Fairfax Irish Festival
With a full roster of musicians from near and far, the annual Fairfax Feis (pronounced fesh) is a celebration of Irish Traditional Dance and Folk Music held at multiple venues around town. With over two dozen artist groups participating, and more than half a dozen venues hosting, the festival is a high point of the renewed revival of traditional Irish music and dance in the Bay Area.
Halloween Parade & Festivities … October 31
Come to the Halloween Parade. Starting at 5pm in front of the Fairfax Theater, the parade attracts 500 or so costumed kids and adults. The parade winds along Broadway and then Bolinas Road ending at “The Haunted Grove” in Bolinas Park. Lots of winners for best costumes in all kinds of categories. Plenty of treats for the kids along the way. Food Trucks and live music! Activities with “Drumming Magic” with Mika Scott.

Fairfax Craft Faire … Saturday, December TBA
Local craftspeople from town and nearby offer their handmade goods at the annual Fairfax Crafts Fair held at the Pavilion. Sponsored by Sustainable Fairfax, the Fair brings holiday shoppers and creative craftspeople together, providing unique gifting choices, really tasty wholesome food, and wonderful live music.
Holiday Caroling, Wreathmaking & Potluck

Take some time to share your joy with friends, family and the whole community. Sing carols, make your own wreaths, and bring something for the potluck. It’s a very lovely time. And Santa shows up too!
